EASY INSTALLATION SUPPLEMENT FOR X-PERT
REFER TO INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR ALL FIGURES!!
- Open the instructional manual to the BOX CONTENTS ON PAGE 2
- CONTENTS ARE PICTURED SEPARATLY!! The180mm X-Joint and Top Adapter comes attached to the 125mm extension. One of the 200mm X-Joints comes attached to the 250mm extension. There are 2 hex keys included.
- Use a stud finder to locate the beam (joist) in the ceiling because you will want to put the X-Pert up so the dome is centered directly under 1 beam. SEE FIGURE 2 ON PAGE 3
- Measure your ceiling height and REFER TO THE PRINTED OUT HEIGHT CHART (chart separate from the manual) so you will know what extensions (if any) are needed.
- Loosen the static/spinning screws at the very bottom of A-Pole with small hex key
- Put A-Pole on the micro base. SEE FIG 12 PAGE 6
- Use small hex key to tighten the hex screws LINED UP WITH THE ALIGNMENT “X”S ETCHED ON THE BASE. SEE FIG 12 PAGE 6
- Unscrew adjuster cover (below 3 hex screws) by turning CLOCKWISE and let it fall to the base. SEE FIG 13 PAGE 6
- Lay A-Pole attached to the base on the ground
- Put the single 200mm X-Joint (the one not attached to the extensions) into A-Pole lining the screws of the X-Joint with the hole on the upper part of A-Pole.
- Make sure the center locking pins on the X-Joint are fitting in the rounded slots of the A-Pole. SEE FIG 8 & 9 PAGE 5
- Now attach B-Pole lining the screws of the X-Joint with the hole on the lower part of B-Pole.
- Put short end of large hex key COMPLETELY into the X-Joint screw. SEE FIG 10 PAGE 5
- TURN ONE OF THE X-JOINT SCREWS CLOCKWISE UNTIL IT IS BARELY TIGHT. THEN TURN THE OTHER X-JOINT SCREW UNTIL IT IS BARELY TIGHT!!!
- GO BACK & FORTH BETWEEN THE X-JOINT SCREWS AND TIGHTEN THEM VERY FIRMLY!!!
- For ceiling heights 7ft 4in to 7ft 9in (REFER TO HEIGHT CHART) no extensions are needed & you will have to separate the top adapter from the 125mm extension (may have to turn upper X-Joint screw counter clockwise to undo & remove top adapter)
- For ceiling heights 7ft 9in to 8ft 2in (REFER TO HEIGHT CHART) attach the 125mm extension (the 180mm X-Joint & top adapter already comes attached to this extension) to the top of B-Pole
*REPEAT STEPS 13-15 TO CONNECT THE 125MM EXTENSION TO B-POLE
- For ceiling heights 8ft 2in to 8ft 7in (REFER TO HEIGHT CHART) put the 250mm extension (the 200mm X-Joint already comes attached to this extension) to the top of B-Pole
*REPEAT STEPS 13-15 TO CONNECT THE 250MM EXTENSION TO B-POLE
- For ceiling heights 8ft 7in to 9ft (REFER TO HEIGHT CHART) put the 250mm extension (the 200mm X-Joint already comes attached to this extension) to the B-Pole & the 125mm extension onto the 250mm extension
*REPEAT STEPS 13-15 TO CONNECT THE 250MM EXTENSION TO B-POLE & THE 125MM TO THE 250MM EXTENSION
- ALWAYS USE THE 180MM X-JOINT & THE SMALLEST EXTENSIONS ON THE TOP
- Put the top adapter on the B-Pole or extension SEE FIG 14 PAGE 6
- Slide dome on top adapter SEE FIG 14 PAGE 6
- Use the small hex key and loosen the 3 adjuster locking screws at the bottom of A-Pole SEE FIG 11 PAGE 5
- Lift the pole upright
- TURN THE ENTIRE POLE COUNTER CLOCKWISE (you’ll notice more of the adjuster rod becoming exposed at the bottom and the dome getting closer to ceiling)
- Keep turning until the dome is barely tight to the ceiling.
- Make sure the pole is level (magnetic levels are the easiest to use) by walking around the entire pole. If it is unlevel adjust the pole by moving the lower part of the pole & base.
- Keep turning the pole until the dome is firmly tight to the ceiling. You do not want to over tighten but the dome should not move.
- Do final check of pole stability by shaking back and forth and making sure dome doesn’t move.
- LINE UP THE 3 ADJUSTER LOCKING SCREWS AT THE BOTTOM OF A-POLE WITH THE 3 FLAT SECTIONS OF THE ADJUSTER ROD!!! (MAYBE NECESSARY TO TURN POLE SLIGHTLY TO ALIGN PROPERLY) SEE FIG 11 PAGE 5 & FIG 16 PAGE 7
- WARNING!!! IF THE SCREWS ARE TIGHTENED ON THE THREADED SECTIONS OF THE ADJUSTER ROD THREADING DAMAGE WILL OCCUR WHICH WILL CAUSE YOUR POLE TO NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY!!!
- Raise adjuster cover & turn counter clockwise to tighten. MAKE SURE IT THREADS PROPERLY OR THREADING DAMAGE MAY OCCUR! SEE FIG 16 PAGE 7
- NOW YOU ARE READY TO USE & ENJOY YOUR X-PERT!!!
